• To Institute and provide for Multipurpose Super-specialty Hospital(s) and Trauma Care Centre(s) by upgrading the existing Institutions and to establish them as a Centre of Excellence for the advancement of research and dissemination of the knowledge.
• To conduct courses under UG/PG Degrees – Diplomas, Higher Specialties and other Academic Distinctions of the University.

UNIVERSITY STATUSWithin a few year of its inception, the Maharaji Educational Trust proved to be a unique model institution rendering state-of-the-art medical education. On reviewing its excellent performance with respect to academic and infrastructural facilities, the Government of India in exercise of its power, conferred by section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 granted Deemed University Status under the name and style of “Santosh University”, on 13th June 2007 and presently comes under Santosh Trust.
AFFILIATIONS AND ACCREDITATIONS

• The college is listed in the WHO’s World Directory of accredited medical schools and IMED (the International Medical Education Directory of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) which holds the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE). Santosh Medical College is one of the selected EPIDEMEOLOGY and related training institutes, recognised by the WHO.

• The college is also recognised by the Indian Medical Council, the Indian Dental Council and UGC of India.

AGE

Minimum age – 17 years on or before 31st December of the respective year

QUALIFICATION

• For admission to M.B.B.S., B.D.S. – Pass in PCB and English at 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate taken together from recognized Board (40% marks for reserved category SC/ST/OBC).

• For admission to B.Sc. (Nursing) – Pass in PCB and English at 10+2 with 45% marks taken together from recognized Board (40% marks for reserved category SC/ST/OBC).

• For admission B.P.T., B.O.T., B.M.M. – Pass in intermediate (10+2) with 45% marks from recognized Board with PCB(40% marks for reserved category).

• Note: The candidate are advised not to submit their applications forms to appear for the test, if they do not fulfill any of the above mentioned eligibility criteria.

NON ELIGIBLITY

• Candidates who do not possess the above qualification at +2 or any other equivalent examination.

• Candidates who are presently undergoing any of the professional courses.

• Candidates who have already joined in any of the professional colleges.

RESERVATIONS

That the G.O. Issued by the Competent Authority from time to time will be strictly followed in the matter

About Santosh Dental College
The Government of India, under Section 10A (4) of the Dentists Act 1948, granted permission to start the B.D.S. course with an intake of 40 students from the academic session 1995-96 in Santosh Dental College, Ghaziabad. Initially, the course started with 40 students. The Central Government granted permission for increasing the student capacity from 40 to 100 from the batch of 2004- 2005. The students are given a complete understanding for the biological and physical process of oral health care. They learn the skills associated with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to oral cavity. The students learn to serve the society by improving the dental and oral health of individuals. The associated dental hospital provides special dental care in paediatrics and oral surgery.

During the MBBS training period the students have about 3 weeks clinical postings in the OPD (Out Patient Department), speciality clinics and ward in their 7th semester training period. They have the clinical teaching and demonstrations of all the common skin diseases sexually transmitted diseases, leprosy and common skin emergencies during this period. The MBBS course prepares learners to diagnose and manage common health problems of individuals. With respect to the common health problems, all the students at primary, secondary and tertiary levels are competent to practice preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative medicine. Along with the practice medical ethics, expertise in domain, students are capable of performing duties in hospitals or engage in self-directed learning for a lifetime.

Admission Process

Admission is through Rama University Entrance Test (RUET) and by appearing for a formal interview, after submitting all documents and verifications.

Fee Structure

MBBS fee is Rs. 9,95,000/- per annum

There is a refundable security deposit of Rs. 1,50,000 also, along with the annual fee.
